Dr. Corwin is chair of the Society of Abdominal Radiology Disease Focused Panel on Adrenal Neoplasms. Dr. Corwin completed medical school at Duke University, radiology residency Brown Medical School, and abdominal imaging fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

Ultrasound Assessment of Liver Fat

As a non-invasive assessment of liver fat, ultrasound is well-positioned to impact population screening and surveillance of at-risk patients. This session will discuss the traditional qualitative features of liver fat and their drawbacks, and highlight new and emerging quantitative tools that hold promise in providing a more consistent assessment and actional results.

David T. Fetzer, MD

Dr. Fetzer is Medical Director of Ultrasound at UTSW and Parkland Health, and is the director of the clinical and translational research lab CACTUS (Collaborative for Advanced Clinical Techniques in UltraSound Lab). His research and education efforts include ultrasound and CEUS use in HCC surveillance and diagnosis, and in quantitative biomarkers of chronic liver disease. Dr. Fetzer is the co-chair of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) Liver Fat Quantification Task Force, and the chair of the Elastography Community. For the AIUM/RSNA Quantitative Imaging Biomarker Alliance (QIBA), Dr. Fetzer servers as co-chair of the Shear Wave Speed biomarker committee, and a working group co-chair of the Pulse-Echo Quantitative UltraSound (PEQUS) biomarker committee for liver fat quantification.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Plenary

This session addresses the challenges and opportunities in navigating acceptance in the workplace.

Nicole Hindman, MD, FSABI
I am a Professor of Radiology and Surgery at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Genitourinary imaging has been the main clinical and research focus of my radiologic career. In this field, I have focused on the applicability of the Bosniak classification of renal cysts and the role of MR in imaging of female pelvic conditions (with focus on endometriosis, fibroids and leiomyosarcoma). I have achieved national recognition in Radiology, serving on the Board of national organizations like the Society of Advanced Body Imaging and co-Chairing committees for the American Board of Radiology and the American College of Radiology, developing national and international standards in radiology, and publishing over 81 papers. I serve on the Editorial Board as an Associate Editor for the Radiology and also for the Journal of Computed Tomography (JCAT). Internally, I have had the privilege of serving in the following roles at NYU School of Medicine and Bellevue Hospital in the department of Radiology: 1) full time clinician, Director of Female Pelvic Imaging and the Institutional MR Safety Officer, 2) educator and 3) the Vice Chair of Diversity and Health Equity for Radiology.

CT Protocol Creation, Workflow, and Standardization

Review all of the issues and considerations important in CT protocol development.

Myron A Pozniak

Dr. Pozniak is an Emeritus Professor of Radiology, and former Chief of the Section of Abdominal Imaging at the University of Wisconsin, Department of Radiology. Dr. Pozniak has authored over 60 publications in CT and ultrasound. He is currently spearheading the effort to develop a national standard for CT protocols to serve as the foundation for successful AI.

Engaging Newer Generations of Radiologists through Podcasts

Discuss how podcasts serve as an important tool in engaging newer generations of radiologists.

Linda Chi Hang Chu, MD

Linda Chu is an Associate Professor of Radiology and the Associate Director of the Diagnostic Division at Johns Hopkins University. She specializes in abdominal imaging and her research interest focuses on artificial intelligence applications in pancreatic imaging. She is the Associate Editor of Podcasts for the Radiology journal.

Structured Radiology Reports and Reporting Language

Structured radiology reports and standardized report language are critical components of high-quality, actionable radiology reports.

Atul Shinagare

Dr. Shinagare is Associate Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School, Boston, Chief of Abdominal Imaging and Intervention division at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Interim Chief of Department of Imaging at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. His areas of expertise include genitourinary cancers, imaging assessment of molecular targeted and immunotherapy, and radiology report quality. Dr. Shinagare is a Fellow of the Society of Abdominal Radiology and International Cancer Imaging Society, is the recipient of RSNA Honored Educator award and RSNA Research Scholar grant, and serves on various committees for SABI, RSNA, SAR, ACR, and ABR.

The Next Generation (Z): Boldly Going into the Workforce

Generation Z has only recently been entering the healthcare workforce. The way they interact with people and their workplace expectations are very different from those who belong to the generations before them. This creates some challenges that can be overcome by understanding the main differences between generations. This session will open a door for you to build strong relationships with generation Z.
